The AFC Asian Cup is Asian football's premier international tournament for national teams, held every four years. Qatar are the reigning champions, having beaten Jordan 3-1 in the 2023 final (played January–February 2024) to win back-to-back titles. The next edition is scheduled for January 2027 in Saudi Arabia.
